We have an exciting opportunity for WIP Operative to join our Team at the Bromborough site.
Shift Pattern: 5 out of 6 days
7:00 am to 15:30 pm
Key Responsibilities: Follow lean thinking principles and make suggestions for improvement so that better ways of doing jobs are identified and implemented.
Have a shared responsibility for the implementation and maintenance of the BRC global Standard for Food.
To carry out other duties 'site wide' that may reasonably be requested to ensure the efficient running of the business
Always keep working area clean and tidy so hygiene and health and safety standards are maintained
Report nonstandard conditions immediately to your supervisor so they can be put right quickly to minimise waste.
Ensure you adhere to the quality manual and follow the company's RAG attribute protocol.
Unloading all raw meat delivery vehicles including temperature checks which must be recorded on the arolink system.
Organise own work activities.
Carry out a range of tasks and activities and ensure all tasks are finished within permitted time frames.
Check products and materials against the required quality standards to ensure they meet specifications.
Help solve problems and make suggestions for improvement so that better ways of doing jobs are identified and implemented.
Accurately weighing, labelling and stock rotating all stock levels.
Stock rotation. To be responsible for the defrosting of product
Clean and tidy work areas so that hygiene and health and safety standards are maintained and undertake straightforward hygiene tasks.
Reports faults to the supervisor so they can be put right quickly to keep downtime to a minimum.
Make sure stocks scan everyday /reported to manager supervisor if stock need any amendment
Fire register need to sign in the start of shift
All deliveries need to be intake on same day/make sure all paperwork of deliveries completed on same day and scanned in QUOR
Overtime required to cover weekend if needed
All tasks should be done to follow health and safety procedures
Understanding of requirements for food safety, quality and legality throughout the whole process and work to these standards.
Responsible for daily production yields
Responsible for feeding five lines
Responsible for drip loss from the lines
You Will Need to: be a proactive self-starter with strong interpersonal, prioritisation and communication skills
have demonstrable experience of Health, Safety and Environmental issues
be a team player
have positive attitude
have the ability to work with minimal supervision
