To work within the secondary care outpatient setting.
To provide clinical and managerial leadership for the respiratory specialist nurse team.
To lead and inspire the team to develop the Respiratory Service in conjunction with the strategic direction of the organisation
To act as a visible leader within a developing Respiratory Team
This post is fixed term/secondment for 9 months to meet the needs of the service.

Main duties of the job
To deputise for the Senior Nurse when necessary.
* Develop services aimed at bridging the gaps between primary, community and secondary care services and statutory and
voluntary organisations to facilitate a comprehensive and integrated health and social care pathway for patients with respiratory
conditions
Liaise with Neighbourhood Care Networks, GP practices and secondary care respiratory physicians to communicate changes
in the treatment and management of patients seen in nurse led respiratory services.
* To provide the operational management of day-to-day clinical sessions in secondary care.
* To empower and enable staff to contribute to the delivery of high-quality person-centred care.
* To foster individual skills within the respiratory specialist nursing team and promote personal and team development.
* To develop a cohesive motivated workforce
* Contribute to and advise on the strategic development of integrated respiratory services and be responsible for the management
of the operational delivery of specialist nurse led respiratory services in primary care
* To lead on the development of the Respiratory Specialist Nurse Service in primary care in line with national guidelines, ensuring
practice and other primary care nurses are supported to enhance skills.
