My client delivers all types of roofing & cladding systems including; industrial cladding, flat roofing, rainscreen cladding, refurbishments and repairs. Their roofing and cladding projects include warehouses, retail outlets, offices, manufacturing industry, schools, universities, hospitals and public buildings.
Since their formation, they have established a reputation for quality and professionalism based on in-depth technical knowledge and expert and timely project delivery. Whether working directly for clients or with Principal Contractors, their collaborative approach helps them overcome any project challenges and ensure the best possible solution is delivered. The Contracts Manager is responsible for the delivery of multiple projects on time, within the budget and to high standards. They will work in close collaboration with the Managing Director, Estimator, QS and Buyer to manage projects from award through to completion. The Contracts Manager will ensure that, from concept to completion, the pre-development and construction process is managed effectively, efficiently and safely.
Pre-construction :
Pre-planning of projects to ensure adequate resourcing
Produce construction methodologies and tender programmes
Complete material and plant requisitions for purchasing
Ensure material orders are placed in a timely manner to allow construction programme to be achieved
Construction :
Quality control
Produce and track construction programmes
Coordinate and manage subcontractors
Review labour, plant and material forecasts with the QS
Relevant experience of roofing & cladding contracts/project management/site management
Computer literate with good knowledge of the Microsoft Office packages;
Site Managers Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) preferable
Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS)
Asbestos Awareness preferable
IPAF preferable
Full clean Driving licence;
NVQ level 6 or equivalent in construction or a related discipline – preferable but not essential
