HV Electricians and MatesPower Networks, Transmission & DistributionTamworth B78 3PH or Nottinghamshire, NG32 2AY£35,000 to £55,000 + Van + Fuel Card + Pension Job Ref: J114314TJob Ref: J114314NHead Office in Stourbridge DY9 8LUYou will:Perform electrical installations on site ensuring projects are completed on time, compliant with safety and legal regulations and delivered to a high quality. The successful candidate must have demonstrable experience in solar farm and BESS construction, ICP works and system voltages ranging from 11kV to 132kV, including maintenance and troubleshooting activities in these sectors. The ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and civil drawings is essential.You will be: * Supervising an Electricians' Mate: * Support the Site Manager by overseeing and coordinating the work of the team.o Carry out complex installations and maintenance on DC, LVAC, and HV systems.o Perform installations of electrical networks, including solar farms, BESS, and ICP-related infrastructure.o Conduct electrical testing: AC, DC, HV, LV, communication systems.o Work with switchgear, transformers, CTs, VTs, LV distribution boards, solar modules and Inverter troubleshooting Hands-On Cable Work:o Ability to terminate and gland cables, including familiarity with larger size cables.o Ability to terminate comms or signal cableso Perform continuity and verification checks on all cable types.You will have:* Minimum of level 2/3 City & Guilds electrical installation or electrical engineering* City & Guilds 17/18th BS7671 Wiring Regs* Proven Experience in Solar Farm Construction OR BESS Construction OR ICP works with system voltages 11kV-33kV.
- Electrical testing of AC, DC, LV and HV Electrical Networks - Cable terminations, glanding and verification.* Understand and interpret drawings and specifications* ECS (Electrotechnical Certification Scheme) or EUSR* IOSH Managing Safely or SSSTS/SMSTS * A full UK driving licence, held for at least 12 monthsHOURS: 8-5, Overtime after 5. Travel and normal time.
