Location: St AlbansSalary: £35,000 to £60,000 - Depending on ExperienceJob Type: Full Time - Office Based Role 8am till 5pm
About the Role We are seeking an experienced and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join our growing construction team. You will play a key role in managing project costs, ensuring value for money, and supporting the successful delivery of construction projects from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents
* Manage project costs and cash flow throughout the project lifecycle
* Evaluate subcontractor quotations and manage procurement
* Prepare valuations, variations, and final accounts
* Monitor project progress and report on financial performance
* Work closely with project managers, clients, and subcontractors
* Ensure compliance with contractual and commercial requirements
Requirements
* Degree or qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field
* Proven experience in a construction environment
* Strong knowledge of cost control, contracts, and procurement
* Excellent numerical, analytical, and communication skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
* Proficient in relevant software (e.g. Excel, estimating software)
