CGC Event Caterers are on the look out for casual Kitchen and Cellar Porters to join the team to work at Beverley Racecourse! Situated in the heart of the beautiful, historic market town of Beverley, the racecourse has 19 race days a year from April to September alongside a number of conferencing and events throughout the year. Flexible, casual hours to suit your availability and work-life balance Bi-weekly pay Opportunity to work at a large variety of showstopping events and venues- including The Great Yorkshire Show, The Paris Airshow and Doncaster St Leger Festival Paid travel time and mileage to other venues Paid induction and full training provided Full training Academy with career progression opportunities- both FOH and BOH POT WASH RESPONSIBILITIES Operating the Pot Wash machine and cleaning of all utensils and crockery General cleanliness and maintenance of the venue Washing up the Kitchen during and after service Closing down the KP area and resetting for the following day Compliance with Health and Safety standards General assistance with other departments as and if required CELLAR PORTER RESPONSIBILITIES Assist with the receipt, storage, and rotation of beer, wines, and other beverages Keep the cellar clean, safe, and compliant with hygiene and health & safety standards Help with unloading and storing deliveries safely and efficiently Rotate stock to minimize waste and ensure first-in-first-out (FIFO) usage General assistance with the bar and other areas as and if required PERSON SPECIFICATION Exceptional standards of hygiene and cleanliness Must be able to commute to and from Beverley during unsociable hours Concrete understanding of bar and cellar operations (Cellar Porter only) Positive attitude and excellent communication skills Ability to keep the kitchen organised, stocked and clean Hard-working, self-motivated and reliable Recruitment Process Outlined: To be successful, you MUST be able to attend an Assessment Centre on the 19th June 2025 and attend a Training Induction on the 23rd June 2025.
