Your new role
Reporting to the CFO, you will lead financialernance and assurance across the organisation, strengthening internal controls, risk management, and regulatorypliance. You will play a key role in supporting senior leadership and the Board Audit & Riskmittee, ensuring robust financial stewardship and transparency.
Key responsibilities:
1. Lead financialernance, risk management, and internal control frameworks
2. Provide expert advice to the CFO and senior stakeholders onernance andpliance
3. Oversee fraud prevention processes, investigations, and reporting
4. Act as Secretary to the Board Audit & Riskmittee
5. Manage internal audit relationships and ensure effective audit delivery
6. Lead pensionsernance, reporting, and advisory activities
7. Deliver performance insights and financial assurance to senior leadership
8. Manage and develop the financialernance team
What you'll need to succeed
9. Qualified accountant (CCAB/CIPFA)
10. Strong experience in financialernance, risk, andpliance
11. Background in audit, internal controls, or fraud prevention
12. Experience engaging with senior stakeholders and boards
13. Knowledge of pensions desirable
14. Strong leadership, analytical, andmunication skills
