Bloomberg TV is seeking a researcher/production assistant to join our team in London for a 12-month contract. This is an entry-level position for a recent school or university graduate who is interested in pursuing a career in television news. You will be responsible for compiling research notes for TV anchors under the guidance of producers, and various administrative tasks. Attention to detail and accuracy, excellent written and verbal communication, and a strong work ethic are vital to this role. We'll teach you the fundamentals of television news and key markets concepts.
We'll trust you to:
* Compile and write briefing notes that anchors can use as part of their research for interviews
* Independently complete administrative tasks such as booking cars for guests and compiling data
* Greet and speak with high-profile guests coming into the studio
You'll need to have:
* A minimum of 4 high performance GCSEs (or equivalent)
* Evidence of GCSE Maths and English results
* A passion for news, and a strong interest in business and finance
* Attention to detail and accuracy, ability to multi-task
* A strong work ethic, and willingness to work early mornings
We'd love to see:
* Knowledge of organisational tools like TeamUp and Excel
* Experience in research
* Experience working as part of a team
