Maintenance Assistant £13.20 per hour 22.5 hours per week Pension, Onsite parking, Paid DBS, Uniform provided 5.6 weeks annual leave based on a full time contract The Role As a Maintenance Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring the home remains safe, well maintained and comfortable for residents, visitors and staff. You will take responsibility for day to day maintenance tasks, ensuring all areas of the home and equipment are kept in excellent working condition. You will carry out a range of repairs and maintenance duties, from general upkeep to more practical tasks such as basic electrical checks, minor installations and building repairs. Your role will also include maintaining the external areas of the home, ensuring grounds are tidy, safe and welcoming. Working closely with the wider team, you will support health and safety compliance by carrying out routine checks, including fire safety systems and equipment. You will also assist with ongoing improvement works and report any larger maintenance issues promptly. This role requires a proactive and practical individual who can work independently, manage tasks effectively and respond to the needs of a busy care environment. Occasional evening, weekend work and on call support may be required.
