Our Civil Engineering team is growing, and we are looking for an enthusiastic Graduate Flood Risk Engineer to join our expanding Water & Environment discipline. The Role As a Graduate Flood Risk Engineer, you’ll play a key role in supporting our flood risk and drainage projects across a wide range of sectors — from residential and commercial developments to infrastructure and environmental schemes. You’ll work closely with experienced engineers to deliver high-quality technical work and gain hands-on experience in all aspects of flood risk management. Your responsibilities will include: * Supporting the preparation of Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs) and Drainage Strategies * Assisting in the design of surface water management systems and Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) * Undertaking hydrological and hydraulic modelling using industry software (e.g. MicroDrainage, Flood Modeller, HEC-RAS) * Contributing to Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) and planning submissions * Liaising with clients, regulators, and internal design teams * Preparing technical drawings, reports, and presentations About You We’re looking for someone proactive, curious, and eager to learn — someone who wants to develop their technical skills while contributing to projects that make communities safer and more resilient.
