Role Overview
KPMG Microsoft Business Solutions are looking for an experienced Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations (D365FO) Senior Consultant with experience across all phases of large-scale enterprise D365FO projects. With a hands-on approach and solid understanding of Finance and/or SCM process and procedures, combined with knowledge of interfacing and integration with Dynamics products. A demonstrable history of consultancy experience is a must as this role will entail continuous interaction with clients and project teams working alongside both onshore and offshore development teams. This role will also require a level of presales activities focused around D365FO functionality and the wider Microsoft platform. You will also contribute to proposal development and provide input in business development whilst mentoring more junior staff.
This role is therefore key to KPMG Microsoft Business Solutions’ customer delivery of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations solutions. It is a dynamic and exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing business area within an established and market-leading global Big 4 firm.
Main Responsibilities
Project Responsibilities
1. Involvement in full end-to-end implementations and all phases of project life cycles, using your knowledge of Dynamics 365 FO Finance and/or SCM capabilities, working closely with client teams and business stakeholders
2. Provide on-site support as required by company or client
3. Leading the solution on a work stream, making design decisions, and creating solution documentation
4. Involvement with D365FO interfaces and Integrations
5. Ability to gather and document functional requirements and complete gap/fit analysis
6. Ability to produce solution design and integration design documents, alongside development teams
7. Demonstrate awareness of scope (creep) and use of change control
8. Delivery of end-user training to clients and colleagues
9. Awareness around upselling and understanding of additional company capabilities
10. Involvement in responding to RFPs and RFQs
11. Demonstrate very good foundational consulting skills, including analytical know-how, written & verbal communication, team participation & presentation skills
12. Solves and advises on complex problems with creative solutions
Practice Responsibilities
13. Have awareness of product roadmap and the content of future releases of D365FO
14. Partake in practice development activities and help in defining how these will be delivered
15. Promotes the Values of our company
16. Responsible for mentoring, leading and collaborating with other more junior consultants within the team
17. Always represent KPMG in a professional and positive manner
18. Ensure timely completion of internal processes and mandatory training
19. Carry out additional duties as may occur from time to time as instructed and agreed by Senior members
20. Manage performance and mentor junior members of the team
21. Willing to travel abroad when required
Experience and Background
22. Minimum 6 years of relevant experience working with Microsoft Dynamics AX and/or Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O.
23. Experience of large-scale ERP implementations
24. Experience in multiple implementations across different geographies
25. Experience of thinking clearly and calmly under pressure with sound judgement and decision-making abilities
26. Experience of constantly assessing and incorporating new technologies and software into their skillset
27. Experience managing others and leading more junior consultants to a successful outcome
28. Pre-sales experience
29. Business process mapping, modelling, and documentation knowledge
Skills and Qualifications
30. Degree in Business & IT or similar.
31. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing
32. Excellent presentation and demonstration skills
33. Ability to lead meetings and workshop, and confidently present to stakeholders
34. Good understanding of accounting and/or supply chain processes, principles, functionality & systems
35. Microsoft Dynamics Finance and/or SCM certification, ideally most current version
36. Good knowledge of the following areas of an implementation project life cycle:
37. Requirements analysis and documentation
38. Business process mapping and modelling
39. Development testing and UAT
40. Data migration
41. Cut-over activities
42. Go-live support
43. Must be able to show good knowledge of best practices for D365FO
44. Good MS Office skills (primarily Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Visio is a plus)
45. Data Migration understanding
46. Understanding of Power Platform capabilities and Business Intelligence (BI) is preferred
47. LCS and Azure DevOps knowledge is beneficial
48. Works independently as well as in a team environment
49. Client centric approach with emphasis on client satisfaction
50. Confidence to reach out to more senior colleagues for guidance
