We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Technician to join our Water Operations team based out of Little Marlow, SL7 3RT.
As the successful candidate, your role will involve performing a range of front-line maintenance and operational activities on sewage pumping stations in the Thames Valley North region (Reading, High Wycombe, Marlow, Oxford). This includes planned and preventive maintenance of electrical equipment to support asset operation.
This is an excellent opportunity to make a difference by performing activities such as operation, testing, routine checks, maintenance, and problem-solving to ensure services are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
Responsibilities include:
* Carrying out scheduled, planned, and reactive maintenance on wastewater assets and electrical machinery, minimizing plant breakdowns.
* Communicating professionally with customers and meeting their expectations.
* Investigating plant failures and performing repairs efficiently to avoid process interruptions.
* Providing technical advice, updating technical knowledge, and supporting trainees if required.
* Working on equipment such as pumps, control gear, 3-phase motors, VSDs, automatic valves, sensors, PLCs, and chemical dosing equipment.
Base Location:
Little Marlow, SL7 3RT.
Working Pattern:
38 hours Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 3:36 pm. Plus standby rota payments & overtime, which can increase earnings by up to £15,000 annually after training.
Candidate Requirements:
* Time-served apprentice or significant experience in electrical systems in a multi-skilled capacity.
* 18th Edition Electrical City and Guilds certification.
* Experience in electrical inspection, maintenance, fault diagnosis, testing, and repair.
* Experience with pumps, actuated valves, VSDs, and switchgear is essential.
* Knowledge of health and safety standards.
* Physical fitness and ability to work in confined spaces (training provided).
* Full UK driving license.
