Responsibilities
1. Undertake IRB model validation activities as dictated by the Global Model Risk Policy, including assessment of data quality and relevance, conceptual soundness, model estimation methodology, qualitative information and judgments, documentation, regulatory compliance, and implementation of the model.
2. Lead and teach junior resources contributing to validation activities.
3. Provide written reports detailing validation results and highlighting issues identified during validation.
4. Validate remediation activities completed by the 1LOD to ensure appropriate resolution of issues.
5. Ensure models and tools developed, maintained, and used within the Group are compliant with internal and regulatory expectations and fit for purpose.
6. Build effective relationships with stakeholders, providing guidance to ensure compliance with regulation, policy, and risk appetite.
Requirements
* Prior IRB Modelling experience is essential (from development, validation, or regulatory side).
* Advanced understanding of regulatory developments and supervisory practices related to models, with experience dealing with auditors and regulators.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills on strategic, business, and technical levels.
* Highly analytical with strong attention to detail.
* Senior stakeholder management skills, with the ability to challenge and influence.
This role can be based in London, Hybrid.
