Subject to formal establishment, a vacancy will arise for a Warrant Officer to serve as DMS Digital Future Capabilities Platform Engineer at DMS Whittington on FTRS HC Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of Apr 2026. (before or later subject to candidate status). DMS Digital Future Capabilities support the development of new and existing Medical Information Service capabilities, through a structured trials program, in order to improve patient care in the fixed and deployed space, ensuring the DMS meets its strategic objectives, all while achieving value for money for the taxpayer. This post is responsible for the build, deployment and management of virtual environments and networks across MOD Cloud and on-premises hardware. The role includes developing repeatable processes and delivering secure, scalable device and service management capabilities. Responsibilities: 1. Build and manage virtual machines, servers and network infrastructure across MOD Cloud and on-prem platforms used by Future Capabilities 2. Plan, deploy and maintain virtual environments with secure, repeatable processes. 3. Create clear technical documentation to standardise build and deployment activities. 4. Implement and support mobile device management solutions. 5. Monitor platform performance and resolve issues to maintain service availability. 6. Support interoperability Exercises (some UK and overseas travel expected). 7. Ensure compliance with MOD security, assurance and operating standards.
