Role Overview
You are a Director of Environment & Regulatory Services at Caerphilly County Borough Council. You will lead the delivery of the Council's Environment & Regulatory Service in terms of both strategy and management responsibility, ensuring high-quality, customer-focused services and supporting the Council’s strategic direction and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Strategic lead for Environmental Health, Trading Standards, Licensing, Registrars, Sport & Leisure, Community Centres, Green Spaces & Cemeteries, Emergency Planning, Community Safety.
* Set, model, and embed a culture that reflects the organisation’s values and behaviours, developing strong working relationships to overcome obstacles.
* Support staff to deliver services that make a tangible difference to our customers.
Qualifications
* A professional degree qualification in a relevant discipline.
* A postgraduate management qualification, or willingness to work towards obtaining one.
* Chartered Membership of a recognised relevant professional institution.
* Knowledge and understanding of the range of policy and operational issues confronting Environment and Regulatory services, and local government generally.
* Experience of Senior Management and Leadership.
