Job Information
Deliver excellent service standards for a Mitie customer. Ensure the contract service delivery is of a high standard, meeting all SLA agreements.
Main Duties
1. Undertake all training required to deliver the caretaking role.
2. Adhere to all Mitie Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures.
3. Keep all equipment clean, well maintained, and in safe working order.
4. Have a full working knowledge of all cleaning equipment, materials, and chemicals used by Mitie.
5. Be responsible for maintenance, cleaning, security, and safety within the school premises and grounds.
6. Perform cleaning of slippery floors, spillages, bodily fluids, and emergency cleaning tasks.
7. Monitor helpdesk jobs and address/close them within the specified timelines and SLAs.
8. Act as a key holder, unlocking and locking buildings as needed.
9. Carry out porterage tasks as per SLAs and school requests.
10. Maintain cleanliness by keeping internal and grounds areas free from litter.
11. Respond promptly to helpdesk jobs and provide feedback or resolve issues.
12. Empty internal and external bins.
13. Set up rooms for examinations and school functions, then restore layout afterward.
14. Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), including fire alarm tests and emergency light checks.
15. Cover out-of-hours building usage on a rota system.
16. Ensure contractor access is provided and contractors are escorted if DBS clearance is not available.
17. Adhere to safeguarding policies and report concerns accordingly.
18. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
19. Perform any other duties within capability as needed.
