Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Gas Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of gas appliances and systems. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to safety standards. The Gas Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring that our clients receive high-quality service while adhering to industry regulations.
Responsibilities
* Install, maintain, and repair gas appliances and systems in residential and commercial properties.
* Conduct thorough inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
* Troubleshoot issues related to gas systems and provide effective solutions.
* Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment as necessary for repairs and installations.
* Collaborate with other tradespeople, including plumbers and electricians, to complete projects efficiently.
* Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and compliance documentation.
* Adhere to all health and safety guidelines while working on-site.
* Assist in the assembly of components as required for various installations.
Experience
The ideal candidate will possess:
* Proven experience in gas engineering or a related field.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex systems.
* Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
* Basic math skills for measurements and calculations during installations.
* Experience in plumbing and carpentry is advantageous.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during installations or repairs.
