Location: York, North Yorkshire, Yorkshire, UKPAY & HOURS1st 6 Months£17.30 per hour40 hours paid per weekMonday to Thursday 7.00 am to 5.30 pmAFTER TRAINING (Approximately 6 months)£17.92 per hour+ Shift allowance of £50 (£5 per hour)£17.92 per hour + £5 shift allowance = £22.92 per hour.40 hours paid per weekMonday to Thursday 8:30pm to 7:00amBenefits:Free life assurance (3 x annual salary)21 days holidays + bank holidays.Increasing holidays over 5 years to 24 days plus bank holidays.Company sick pay after 6-month probation, increasing with servicePaid time for hospital appointments (up to 4 hours)Paid time for doctor or dentist appointments (up to 2 hours)Essential to Apply:Applicants must have proven experience operating CNC machinery within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.A solid understanding of engineering drawings, measurement tools, and machining processes is essential.You should be mechanically minded, reliable, and confident working independently to high standards of accuracy and quality.Roles and Responsibilities:Set and operate high-speed CNC machines to perform milling, drilling, tapping, and other machining tasksCarry out general operation and supervision of additional workshop machineryEnsure tooling, fixtures, and CNC programmes are available prior to productionMaintain accurate production records, including component counts and scrap levelsUphold high standards of product quality and efficient outputRead and interpret mechanical and engineering drawingsPerform basic editing of CNC programmes and tool tables when requiredTake ownership of component quality and related documentationCheck and replace tooling and cutters as necessaryPrepare and load raw materials and components onto machinesCheck and refill lubricant levelsApply a strong understanding of CNC 3-axis and 4-axis machining and Renishaw probingFollow all company safety systems and operational procedures.Please apply online and phone Adam Dyson anytime including evenings & weekends.The Clever Fish Recruitment review all applications.
