The Healthcare Assistant (HCA) will play a vital role in supporting the smooth running of the Day Surgery Unit. Working as part of the Multidisciplinary team, the post holder will provide compassionate, safe, and effective care to patients before and after surgical procedures.

* Welcome, prepare & support patients on admission, during their stay & discharge from the Unit.
* Assit patients with personal care needs, mobility & nutrition, while maintaining dignity and respect.
* Carry our routine clinical observation's and accurately record/report findings to registered staff.
* Adhere to infection control - cleaning of areas & equipment to ensure a clean safe, and organised environment.
* Provide reassurance and clear communication/documentation to patients and their families.
* Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
* Participate in training, supervision and appraisal to support ongoing development.
