Job Title: Administrator Rate: £12.60 per hour Contract: 6 months Location: Derby
ABOUT THE ROLE We're on the lookout for an Administrator to join our clients busy team based in Derby .
This is a vital behind-the-scenes role that ensures operations teams have everything they need to deliver essential emergency and planned works across the region.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Creating compliant permits and work packs for operational teams to carry out repair, renewal, and installation jobs.
Liaising with internal departments and external stakeholders (like highway authorities) to secure approvals and organise traffic management when necessary.
Ensuring every job pack contains the right information for the work to be completed safely, efficiently, and on time .
Working closely with field managers, suppliers, and local planning authoritie s to coordinate resources and reduce disruption.
WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
You'll be part of a friendly and collaborative team of Job Builders, regularly engaging with:
Operational field teams
Highway and local authorities
External suppliers
Internal planners and project leads
Customers when needed
HOURS
This role supports field operations and requires flexibility to work within a shift window of 06:30 – 20:00, on an 11-week rota, including 2 weekends in every 11 .
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Someone highly organised, with great attention to detail.
Comfortable working with multiple systems and managing several priorities.
A clear communicator, able to liaise with technical and non-technical colleagues alike.
Previous experience in planning, scheduling, or utilities is a bonus – but not essential if you're a fast learner.
