A reputable social housing contractor is seeking an experienced multi skilled plumber to join its maintenance team in Lower Clapton. This position is offered on a temp to perm basis with a structured 13 week transition before transferring to permanent employment.
The successful candidate will deliver high quality plumbing works across occupied domestic properties. This includes responsive repairs, planned maintenance and general plumbing duties requiring accuracy, professionalism and a strong understanding of compliance within a social housing environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Undertake reactive and planned plumbing maintenance within occupied social housing units
• Carry out fault finding, diagnostics and repairs to a high standard
• Complete installations, replacements, bathroom works and general plumbing tasks as required
• Ensure all work is delivered safely, efficiently and in line with regulatory requirements
• Maintain clear communication with tenants and internal teams to ensure effective service delivery
• Record work accurately through company systems and follow all reporting procedures
Essential Requirements
• Strong, proven plumbing background with experience in domestic or social housing settings
• Recognised plumbing qualifications are preferred and will be considered a strong advantage
• Ability to work independently with consistent attention to detail
• Professional conduct when working in occupied properties
• Full understanding of health and safety requirements relevant to the role
Package and Benefits
• £20.00 to £24.00 per hour depending on experience
• Monday to Friday, 9 to 5, paid 35 hours per week
• Temp to perm arrangement with transfer to permanent employment after 13 weeks
