Lead Infrastructure Engineer (DV cleared) - £500/day via Umbrella - 6-month Contract - Farnborough (Onsite) - SCC Flex Contract
We are seeking a DV-cleared Lead Infrastructure Engineer with strong expertise in VMware and VMware Horizon to lead the delivery of desktop services within a complex multi-datacentre environment. This role will take technical ownership of VDI services, driving design, deployment, and operational excellence across Wintel and VMware platforms.
Your responsibilities as the Lead Infrastructure Engineer:
* Lead the direction and delivery of all tasks within the EUC services
* Design multi-site, multi-tenant VDI environments using VMware Horizon
* Build, deploy, configure, and maintain VMware Horizon-based EUC platforms
* Produce and maintain technical documentation, including Low-Level Designs, release notes, and DR/failover procedures
* Define build processes, create new procedures, and review/update existing documentation
* Lead VDI services deployments across the full life cycle, from development and test to production
* Ensure platforms are resilient, secure, and aligned with operational best practice
