Maintenance Engineer for a new, exceptionally clean automotive manufacturing facility that supplies battery boxes for electric vehicles.
Shift Pattern
* Mon‑Thu 5.30 AM – 1.30 PM (Morning)
* Fri 5.30 AM – 12.30 PM
* Mon‑Thu 1.30 PM – 9.30 PM (Afternoon)
* Fri 12.30 PM – 7.30 PM
* Mon‑Thu 9.30 PM – 5.30 AM (Night)
* Fri 7.30 PM – 2.30 AM
Compensation & Benefits
* £49,664 salary plus 16% pension
* Sick pay 80% of salary
* Three‑salary DIS
* Overtime paid 1.5× during the week, double time on weekends (for Maintenance Engineers)
* Brand‑new factory; state‑of‑the‑art robotics, presses, lasers, CNCs, hot‑stamp lines
* Brand‑new canteen with a free voucher each week for one meal (for the maintenance engineer)
Equipment & Responsibilities
* Servo Press, Hydraulic Press, ABB Robots, Trumph Lasers, CNC’s, hot‑stamp lines (soon to be 3)
* PLC fault finding – inputs/outputs
* Multi‑skilled maintenance work in a clean, automated environment with progression opportunities
Qualifications & Experience
* At least three years as a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer (mechanical with electrical skills)
* Electrically qualified – Level 2/3 in C&G/NVQ ideally
* Experience with presses, hydraulics, CNC’s, hot‑stamping lines or robots
* Experience with PLC fault finding – looking at inputs/outputs
* Open to candidates from Food, FMCG, Packaging, recycling, heavy, metal processing, plastics, automotive, building products, etc.
