MCS Group is working with a leading player in the financial services sector who are looking for a Senior Software Test Engineer to join their team on a 6-month contract basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned manual tester with strong system testing experience to work on high-impact projects in a well-established, tech-forward environment. As Senior Software Test Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity and reliability of a new system, writing and executing the tests to ensure functionality. This role offers the chance to work within a supportive and technically mature team, with real prospects for contract extension. The Role Lead and coordinate end-to-end test planning and execution Design and create detailed test cases and documentation Conduct rigorous system and integration testing across complex platforms Collaborate closely with developers and project stakeholders Contribute to test automation (preferred), with flexibility around tools and frameworks The Person Proven experience in manual testing at a senior level Strong system test background and test process coordination Ability to write and manage comprehensive test plans and cases You must be comfortable working a sole tester, as there is currently only a very small testing presence within the business.
