Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – Fine Decor Wallcoverings Ltd – Congleton, Cheshire
Job Type: Full time, Permanent. Salary: £21.01 per hour. Working Hours: 40 hours per week, 4 days out of 5 (Mon–Fri, either 6am–4pm or 8am–6pm).
We are recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer with a mechanical bias. Joined by experienced electrical and mechanical engineers, the position includes reactive and planned maintenance of printing presses, ancillary equipment and buildings to support smooth plant operation.
Key Responsibilities
* Reactive and planned maintenance
* Mechanical and electrical fault finding
* Work with newly planned maintenance schedules
* Help increase efficiencies within the plant
* Maintain records
* Ensure business complies with current legislation
* Emergency plant repairs when necessary
About You – Essential Skills
* HNC or equivalent in mechanical or electrical engineering
* Mechanical knowledge including pneumatics, diaphragm pumps, mechanical drives (chains, sprockets, gears, gearboxes, drive belts)
* Production line servicing
* Excellent fault finding skills
* Good understanding of health and safety procedures
* Good communication, organisational and planning skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong teamwork ethic
* Ability to work under initiative and under pressure
* Positive attitude and willingness to learn
* Experience within a factory environment
Desirable Skills
* PLC knowledge
* Knowledge of printing and printing machinery
