Your new role
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll take ownership of the fullmercial function for a high-profile highways project. Reporting to the Managing Quantity Surveyor, you’ll manage budgets, cost control, and subcontractor relationships while ensuringpliance with NEC contracts.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Procuring subcontract packages andpiling tender documentation
2. Administering contracts and handling variations, delays, and claims
3. Preparing monthly applications for payment and forecasting cash flow
4. Leadingmercial meetings and maintaining strong client relationships
5. Establishing and managing project budgets with accurate cost reporting
What you'll need to succeed
6. Proven experience in seniormercial roles within highways or heavy civils
7. Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and cost control processes
8. Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
9. Ability to lead teams,municate effectively, and build client trust
Professional membership (MRICS/MCICES) and experience in delay analysis and claims preparation are highly desirable.
