In this role you will be responsible for the implementation and support of Police Scotland’s communications infrastructure. You will ensure the communications infrastructure supports the needs of Police Scotland and other external partners. Provide a comprehensive communication system support service on a 24/7 continual basis. You will be educated to HNC level in a relevant Electronic or technical discipline or possess an equivalent professional industry qualification in a related technical discipline or a combination of technical qualifications and relevant experience. You must have experience in customer facing engagement and development and delivery of communications to technical and non-technical audiences. Currently Police Scotland have guidance in place that allows appropriate roles to be operated on an agile basis should you have an interest in working more flexibly then we would encourage your application. These are full time, temporary post which require Management Vetting. You will work 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 9am–5pm. The post-holders will be required to take part in an On-Call rota for Mission Critical systems for which an allowance will be paid. A driving licence is required for this role. Educational/Occupational Essential •HNC level in a relevant Electronic or technical discipline OR •Possess an equivalent professional industry qualification in a related technical discipline. OR •Possess a combination of technical qualifications and relevant experience. Special Aptitudes Essential •Significant experience of delivering and supporting technical communication systems along with knowledge of ICT technologies and current health & safety practices. •Proven experience in a technical role related to the design, development and the maintenance of ICT communications services.
