Traffic Marshal / Site Operative - Bedford

Location: Bedford
We're looking for an experienced and dependable Traffic Marshal / site operative to support a busy construction project in Bedford. This role offers around six months of consistent work starting in early March and would suit someone who takes pride in maintaining a safe, well‑organised site.
Key Responsibilities
Unlocking and locking up the site daily
Receiving, coordinating, and managing deliveries and general external traffic
Monitoring and maintaining site housekeeping standards
Regular cleaning and upkeep of welfare areas
Managing storage areas and ensuring waste is cleared to skips frequently
Overseeing the sign‑in desk and ensuring all personnel sign in and out correctly
Monitoring and reporting any site concerns or safety issues to the site manager
Maintaining site signage, green routes, barriers, and fencing
Directing and coordinating on‑site labourer(s)
Carrying out general labouring duties and assisting with distribution tasks
Requirements
Valid Traffic Marshal / Banksman ticket
CSCS card
Strong communication and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Previous experience in a similar role is highly beneficial
