We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic Teaching Assistant (General Support) to join our friendly school in Bishop Auckland.
About the role:
As a General Support TA, you’ll work closely with class teachers to support the learning and wellbeing of all pupils. You’ll help create a positive, inclusive classroom environment and provide one-to-one or small-group support where needed.
Key responsibilities:
* Support teaching and learning activities across the curriculum
* Assist pupils in accessing lessons and developing independence
* Help prepare resources and set up classroom activities
* Promote positive behaviour and a safe, supportive learning environment
* Work collaboratively with staff and contribute to school life
We’re looking for someone who:
* Has experience working with children (school-based experience desirable)
* Is patient, adaptable, and enjoys helping others learn
* Has good communication and teamwork skills
* Is committed to the values and ethos of our school
