About the Role:
We are working in partnership with an Ofsted 'Good' 11-16 secondary school in Leicester who are seeking an enthusiastic andmitted DT Teacher who is immediately available to provide long-term cover. This is a part-time job working 4 days a week, excluding Tuesday until Easter 2026. Due to this being a long-term job, full teaching responsibilities will be required, including planning and marking.
Job Description:
6. Teach engaging lessons in Resistant Materials and Product Design
7. Use tools like CAD/CAM, 3D printers, and laser cutters
8. Support students with GCSE Design & Technology projects
9. Keep the workshop safe, organised, and inspiring
10. Get involved in clubs and projects like STEM, robotics, or eco-design
Requirements:
11. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. ECT's wee to apply.
12. Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
13. Recent experience teaching DT/Resistant Materials at secondary school level
14. Strong behaviour/classroom management.
15. Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members
16. Hold an in-date health & safety workshop certificate
17. A passion for hands-on learning and creativity
