Partnership manager (trainee)
Introduction
Expressions Holidays is a specialist, luxury tour operator, in business since 1989, arranging tailor-made holidays to selected destinations in Europe and further afield.
We are looking to recruit a Partnership manager who will be responsible for our commercial partnerships with third parties such as travel agents, closed user groups, and the press.
This is an extremely exciting opportunity for a graduate to gain experience of the travel industry, to take ownership of projects, to work independently within a team and to contribute to the well-being of the company.
The focus of the role is on liaising with our travel agent partners and others such as closed user groups to achieve our business targets. There will be an element of servicing existing relationships but also a requirement to target new partners.
The role involves:• Reviewing the performance of existing travel agents
• Maintaining the agent database
• Identifying new agent partners
• Engaging new agent partners
• On-boarding new agents
• Managing agency contracts
• Negotiating special offers and incentives for partners
• Partnership marketing communications
• Attending agency events
• Arranging agent educationals
• Creating and implementing monthly newsletters for agents
• Identify closed user groups
• Implementing a marketing strategy to closed user groups
• Negotiating deals with closed user groups
• Negotiating reader offers with targeted press
• Liaising with our sales team about new partners, incentives and targets
Skills and requirements:• Commercial understanding

• Able to approach new contacts and communicate fluently
• Combine a drive for success with inter-personal skills
• Good organisational skills
• Accurate with numbers and use of English
You will be educated to UK degree level, ideally from a Russell Group university. You should have very good Microsoft Office skills and experience. Any foreign language is an advantage (the company uses French, Italian, Spanish and German regularly) as we are an international business.
You will be joining a team of other graduates, some from Exeter, others fromother UK universities, who work across the company in holiday sales, marketing, product, admin and accounts, based in our attractive and spacious offices with parking in Exeter. Training will be provided on the job, in-house and externally.
On occasion you will be required to represent the company at events, both in the UK and overseas.
Please note: this is a full-time, not a part-time role.
Starting salary
£26,000 per annum
