Family Lawyer
Location: Middlesbrough

Reed are working with a local family-run firm who are known for the quality care they deliver to their clients. The firm specialises in Criminal Defence and Family/Children Law and are looking for a Family Solicitor to join their team. They are committed to staff development and are currently looking for a Family Lawyer to manage publicly funded family law matters, with a particular focus on Care and Child Protection cases.
Day to day of the role:
* Managing your own caseload in family law matters with a particular focus on Care and Child Protection cases.
* Working collaboratively with the Family Team to develop and deliver a high-quality service for clients.
* Maintaining high standards in accordance with the Legal Aid Agency Family Contract and Specialist Quality Mark requirements.
* Developing and nurturing internal and external relationships to promote the firm.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* A minimum of 1 year’s Post Qualification Experience within Family Law is preferred.
* Excellent working knowledge of Legal Aid and the CCMS System.
* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
* Developed advocacy skills.
* High level of self-motivation and drive.
* Ability to run and develop your own caseload with minimal supervision.
* Collaborative approach with a focus on maintaining excellent relationships.
* Membership of Resolution and/or Panel Memberships would be advantageous but is not essential.
