Location: Carlisle
Salary: £12.82 - £15.38 per hour
Contract length: 6 Months
CY Partners are working with a chemicals company to recruit a Contract Lab Technician. This role offers an excellent opportunity to apply analytical chemistry expertise within a dynamic industry environment. The successful candidate will be integral to quality control operations, ensuring product compliance and maintaining standards. This is a contract role based near Carlisle, with a friendly and collaborative team that values science and precision.
Responsibilities
* Perform routine and non-routine analytical tests on chemical products.
* Ensure laboratory testing adheres to internal quality standards and relevant regulatory frameworks.
* Document results accurately and prepare comprehensive reports for review and compliance purposes.
* Maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring all instruments are calibrated and functioning correctly.
* Collaborate with production and R&D teams to troubleshoot quality issues and provide technical support.
* Ensure that all statutory and safety regulations are strictly followed within the laboratory environment.
Requirements:
* A BSc in a laboratory focussed degree or experience in a laboratory environment
* Knowledge of analytical techniques.
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team.
