We're looking for an experienced Senior Content Designer to join our growing Content Design team, supporting the Lead Content Designer at Depop.
You'll work across several product squads - primarily in our Demand pillar - to help evolve our buyer experience, while also supporting other experience areas as needed.
You'll bring your content expertise, user-focused mindset and collaborative spirit to deliver impact, delight users and help shape the product that's making fashion circular.
Responsibilities
1. Own content end-to-end for your experience area(s) across the Depop apps (iOS & Android) and Depop.com
2. Partner closely with designers, researchers, product managers and engineers to ship impactful work you're proud of
3. Elevate content quality, defining what good looks like with your teams and providing guidance to non-writers, where necessary
4. Work with legal and regulatory teams to make sure content you write is compliant with industry standards and regulations, where necessary
5. Contribute to the evolution of content standards at Depop, including writing guidelines and content design best practices
6. Use feedback and user testing results to iterate effectively
Requirements
1. A strong portfolio demonstrating your ability to write clear and engaging content for a variety of digital products and platforms
2. Strong experience as a UX Writer/Content Designer, ideally in tech companies
3. Experience writing for a US audience, or localising your content
4. You're able to balance key user needs with business objectives
5. You have a strong understanding of UX design principles and how content influences user behaviour and interaction
6. You're able to justify your copy decisions with user research, competitor research or UX best practices
7. You have excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively individually and as part of particular squads where necessary
8. You have strong organisational skills and thrive in an environment that requires you to manage multiple projects, with several teams, simultaneously
9. You're proficient in Figma
Heads up, this role probably isn't for you if:
* Your experience is mostly in marketing content, advertising, copywriting or journalism - and you have no hands-on experience of content design or working in UX
