Job Description
We are currently seeking a Senior Buyer, reporting directly to the Procurement Manager, to join our Procurement team based in either London or Milton Keynes, England, UK.

About the mission we offer you:
The Senior Buyer will manage the complete purchasing cycle of allocated Material Requisitions, ensuring execution within budget, on schedule, and meeting quality standards. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external suppliers.
Main Accountabilities:
1. Prepare bidder lists for allocated MRs ensuring compliance with corporate and client vendor lists.
2. Qualify suppliers before PO placement, when needed.
3. Set up and manage enquiries and purchase orders using company IT tools/ERP.
4. Conduct commercial and contractual negotiations up to supplier selection.
5. Collaborate with Engineering to finalize technical and commercial clarifications.
6. Compile and issue purchase orders, ensuring acceptance without comments.
7. Manage scope changes during purchase order execution, including amendments.
8. Recover applicable liquidated damages and back charges notified to vendors.
9. Manage close out of purchase orders and feedback on vendor performance.
10. Contribute to strategy definition with Section Heads and the Project Procurement Manager.
11. Execute activities in compliance with project purchasing principles, needs, and strategy.
About you:
To succeed, you should have:
* A Master's degree in engineering and/or procurement specialization. MCIPS qualification (preferred).
* Extensive experience as a Buyer in similar industrial and EPC projects.
* Knowledge of UK local manufacturers.
* Motivation, proactivity, and ability to interpret and achieve project schedules.
* Strong negotiation skills and stakeholder collaboration abilities.
* Organizational skills, curiosity, problem-solving, and respect for deadlines.
* Understanding of procurement principles and strategies.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work with internal and external stakeholders.
* Autonomy and decision-making skills for medium criticality requisitions.
* Willingness to work on-site and travel as required.
* Commitment to business ethics and safety.
* IT skills, experience with procurement systems like Oracle, and proficiency in English; a second language like French is a plus.
