About The Role

Join PwC's Supply Chain and Procurement team, where we specialise in delivering transformative solutions for our clients in the Defence sector. This Senior Manager role is based in either Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Glasgow, or Edinburgh.
Key Responsibilities
* Strategy and Operating Model: Deliver supply chain and procurement transformation projects, including design and implementation of strategy and operating models, organisation structures, processes, systems, and tools.
* Procurement: Develop and execute category strategies for indirect and direct categories across the end‑to‑end procurement lifecycle – category planning, opportunity assessment, negotiation, supplier management, and contract management.
* Cost Reduction: Conduct thorough cost analyses to identify cost‑saving opportunities and efficiencies; develop and implement cost‑management strategies aligned with client objectives.
* Operations Improvement: Analyse current operational practices, identify improvement areas, develop and implement operational strategies, and lead change‑management efforts.
* Digital Transformation: Guide clients through digital transformation – identify opportunities for automation, data analytics, and advanced technologies; develop and execute digital strategies that enhance operational capabilities.
* Client Engagement & Leadership: Build and maintain strong client relationships, lead project teams, manage timelines, ensure deliverables, and mentor junior consultants.
This Role Is For You If
* Experience in defence, with a focus on supply chain, procurement, cost reduction, manufacturing, operations improvement, and digital transformation.
* Proven track record of delivering successful projects in a consulting or industry role.
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to develop data‑driven insights and recommendations.
* Strong negotiation skills and a proven track record of delivering significant cost out across the end‑to‑end value chain.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
* Proficiency in relevant tools and technologies, such as ERP systems, data analytics software, and source‑to‑pay solutions.
* Ability to travel as required to meet client needs.
