This position offers a valuable development opportunity for a Band 4 Nursing Associate interested in gaining experience in Community Mental Health. It is suitable for those currently working in other nursing areas seeking to expand into mental health practice.
The Nursing Associate role involves applying a range of mental health and physical health nursing skills, working independently under the supervision of registered nurses, and delivering comprehensive nursing care. As a Band 4 Nursing Associate, you will be supported in developing your skills and monitoring the physical health of clients on medication in depot and clozapine clinics.
New starters may join the Preceptorship Action Learning Set and Acute Preceptorship programme. There are also opportunities for career development, including pathways to become a registered nurse, in collaboration with local universities.

The Nursing Associate will have a broad knowledge base across the lifespan and various nursing fields, providing holistic, person-centered care. They work independently under the guidance of registered nurses (Band 5 or above) within all aspects of the nursing process.
They are equipped with the necessary knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behaviors aligned with the national code of conduct.
