Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, assisting with daily living activities and ensuring the comfort and well-being of our clients. This role requires strong communication skills, a good command of English, and the ability to follow care plans effectively.
Responsibilities
* Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support clients in daily activities such as meal preparation, medication management, and mobility assistance.
* Maintain accurate records of client care and progress according to established care plans.
* Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
* Drive clients to appointments or social outings as required, ensuring their safety during transport.
* Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of individual care plans.
* Utilise IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a healthcare or caregiving role is preferred but not essential.
* A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting clients.
* Familiarity with care home environments and home care practices is beneficial.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with clients from diverse backgrounds.
* Basic IT skills for maintaining records and using healthcare software systems.
