Be Part of a Groundbreaking Sixth Form - Inspire the First A-Level Cohort in Business & Economics

An innovative and forward-thinking independent school in Leatherhead is opening a brand-new Sixth Form Centre in September 2025 - and we're looking for an ambitious Business & Economics Teacher to help shape the academic foundation of this exciting new chapter.

This is a unique opportunity to join the school from September 2025 and play a central role in launching the Sixth Form's very first Business & Economics A-Level programme. You will have the rare chance to design and deliver a dynamic curriculum, inspire pioneering students, and help define the culture and aspirations of the sixth form's early cohorts.

About the Role

As a Business & Economics Teacher, you will:

* Lead New A-Level Delivery: Deliver high-quality teaching in both Business and Economics, guiding the Sixth Form's inaugural group of students through their A-Level studies.

* Build the Curriculum: Help shape the structure and content of the subject area, drawing on your expertise to develop an engaging and rigorous programme of study.

* Inspire Future Leaders: Foster curiosity, enterprise, and analytical thinking in students preparing for university, apprenticeships, and careers in business and finance.

* Collaborate on Growth: Work with a passionate academic team to contribute to the wider development of the new Sixth Form Centre and enrich its educational vision.

What We're Looking For

* Qualified Educator: You hold QTS (or equivalent) and have experience teaching Business and/or Economics at GCSE or A-Level.

* Subject Specialist: You bring strong subject knowledge, along with a passion for the evolving world of business and global economics.

* Visionary Teacher: You are excited by the opportunity to shape a brand-new programme, tailoring your teaching to support independent thinking and real-world understanding.

* Collaborative Professional: You enjoy working with colleagues across departments to build a thriving sixth form environment.
