About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team. This role is remote, with regular travel required within the North and/or Midlands region(s).
The primary function of this role is to manage a panel of intermediaries within your assigned sales area, ensuring the quantity and quality of mortgage applications produced by your panel of accounts.
Main responsibilities include:
* Provide administrative support in managing sale pipelines for the OTR Sale Team.
* Manage the pipeline of mortgage applications, ensuring timely progression and completion.
* Actively seek, approach, and engage potential introducers over the phone with the aim of winning their business.
* Maintain and develop introducer accounts and use networking skills to develop further business opportunities.
* Represent the company at roadshows, events, and other industry functions.
* Develop business growth strategies to increase business volume and raise the company profile within your territory.
* Build new business contacts while promoting the company product range and service philosophy.
* Use initiative and business acumen to find alternative ways of selling the company to potential introducers who already have an allegiance to competitors.
* Conduct review meetings with introducers to monitor business volumes and seek improvements.
* Measure performance against business volume targets, completion ratios, and key performance indicators.
* Maintain an excellent understanding of regulatory responsibilities and encourage compliance within the team.

Qualifications and Experience

* Previous experience within the financial services sector; ideally lending or banking.
* Strong understanding of the mortgage market and intermediary relationships.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

* Relevant professional qualifications in finance or business.
* Experience working with professional landlords and mortgage intermediaries.
