Job Title: Closing Room Supervisor
Location: Northampton
Salary: £38,000 – £44,000 (DOE)
Permanent / Full-Time; Working hours are typically 7:15am – 4:15pm Monday to Thursday and 7:15am – 12:15pm on Friday
We are working with a well-established and highly respected footwear manufacturer in Northampton who are looking to appoint a Closing Room Supervisor to join their production team. Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day running of the Closing Room, ensuring efficient and high-quality production
Monitor production output and maintain quality standards through regular checks and team engagement
Provide guidance, support and constructive feedback to team members to drive performance and continuous improvement
Allocate work effectively based on team capability and production priorities
Liaise closely with planning and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery
Uphold and enforce quality control processes across the department
Ensure machinery and equipment are properly maintained, reporting any issues promptly
Support hands-on production where requiredThe Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience in a supervisory role within footwear, garment or a similar manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of production processes and quality control
Ability to lead, motivate and develop a team
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
High attention to detail with a proactive and problem-solving approachDesirable:
Experience within a high-quality or heritage manufacturing environment
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing prioritiesWorking hours are typically 7:15am – 4:15pm Monday to Thursday and 7:15am – 12:15pm on Friday. Due to the nature of the role, there may occasionally be a requirement for additional hours, although this is not common.
The role offers a salary of £38,000 – £44,000 depending on skills and experience. Candidates with less experience may be considered at a lower starting salary, with a clear pathway for progression and salary development
