1:1 Teaching Assistant– Level 2 15 hours per week - 39.2 working weeks Grade 3 – £25,185 FTE (actual salary £8,866) To commence February 2026 Fixed term until 31 st August 2026 Cheslyn Hay Primary Academy is seeking a reliable, enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to join our friendly team. This will be a vital role in providing tailored support to a pupil in Upper Key Stage 2 (UKS2) with cognition and learning difficulties. Key Responsibilities: Providing 1:1 support for a pupil with cognition and learning difficulties in UKS2. Assist with the implementation of a Passport for Learning (IEP). Adapt classroom activities and resources to meet the pupil’s needs. Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment. Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCo, and external professionals. Support the pupil’s social, emotional, and academic development. We are looking for someone who: Experience working with children with autism and/or learning difficulties (desirable). A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
