Vehicle Technician / Mechanic – Lookers Farnborough Audi

Level required: Senior / Master Technician. Contract: Permanent, Full‑Time. Salary: OTE up to £55,480 (Uncapped); £41,000–£46,000 basic plus £3,000 Productivity Bonus and uncapped Time Saved Bonus Scheme (dependent on level). Hours: 40 h Monday‑Friday 8:30am‑5:00pm, plus one Saturday 8:30am‑12:30pm.
Location: Farnborough Audi (Lookers Farnborough Audi workshop). The role involves vehicle health checks, services, and additional repairs; you will report to the service manager and receive on‑going support and training opportunities, including manufacturer accredited schemes and Hybrid & Electric training.
Responsibilities
* Support and provide guidance to all technicians and apprentices within the workshop.
* Carry out mechanical and electrical diagnosis using brand‑specific diagnostic machine to manufacturers' guidelines.
* Assist the Service and Diagnostic technicians with vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical diagnosis, using computer‑based technology.
* Liaise with the manufacturers’ technical team when guidance is required.
* Advise the customer/manufacturer of any further work required.
* Road test vehicles to ensure all work completed to the Lookers standard.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have minimum NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, motor industry experience (brand or non‑brand), and a full and valid UK driving licence. You will be self‑motivated, support your team, ambitious, eager to learn, and able to work to and maintain the highest standards for all vehicles.
Previous brand experience desirable but not essential; diagnostic, MOT and EV experience also desirable.
