Salary: £26,000 - 26,000 per year Requirements: I require an excellent understanding of Microsoft Server operating systems, Windows Server, and related applications such as DNS and DHCP. A strong knowledge of core products, both hardware and software, is essential. I also seek a basic knowledge of the Apple Mac operating system and device troubleshooting for iPhones, iPads, and other mobile vendors (HTC, Google, Samsung, etc.). An excellent and friendly attitude when dealing with customers, both on the phone and in person, is a must, along with the ability to explain potentially complicated issues in an understandable way. Strong writing skills are important, as most of your work will involve written communication with customers (emails, documentation, etc.). You should demonstrate your ability to work as part of a team to resolve complex issues, but also be capable of performing installations and project work independently when required. A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle are required. An aptitude in DIY projects would be considered a plus but not mandatory. Ideally, you should have 3 years of previous experience in a similar role. Responsibilities: You will work as part of a team to provide technical support for our customers’ existing hardware and software installations, resolving issues as quickly as possible using the available resources. Answer customer phone calls, log support tickets, and work on them through to resolution. Provide on-site and remote support to customers as needed. Build, configure, and install new hardware, including routers, wireless equipment, switches, servers, PCs, and laptops. Install, configure, and support applications such as Microsoft Server, SharePoint, Office 365, and VOIP phone systems. Collaborate on larger projects such as Infrastructure Refreshes, Disaster Recovery, and Infrastructure Virtualization, working with the team and the customer through to completion. Respond to alerts from our monitoring system to provide proactive maintenance, helping to reduce outages and downtime for our customers.
