Mainstream to SEND Teacher – Specialist Schools (Birmingham) Location: Birmingham (B5, B12, B25, B33 & surrounding areas) Type: Full-Time / Long-Term Salary: £150–£180 per day (depending on experience and/or qualifications) Start Date: Immediate / September The School and Role ABC Teachers are working with a range of specialist SEND schools across Birmingham to recruit qualified mainstream teachers who are looking to transition into Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) education. These schools support pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), and Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH). Class sizes are smaller, support is higher, and teaching is more personalised. As a Mainstream to SEND Teacher, you will receive guidance, support, and SEND-focused CPD to help you adapt your existing teaching skills to a specialist setting. Your role will focus on delivering engaging, differentiated lessons while supporting pupils’ emotional, social, and communication development.
