Teaching Assistant - Salisbury
Prospero Teaching is looking for a positive, patient and proactive Teaching Assistant to join schools in the Salisbury area. This role involves supporting pupils throughout the school day, helping them engage with learning, and assisting teachers in maintaining a productive, welcoming classroom.
You'll provide a combination of in‑class support, small‑group help and occasional 1:1 guidance for pupils who need more focused assistance. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to gain valuable experience in education.
Whether you have previous school experience or you're a graduate exploring teaching, psychology, SEN, or child development, this role offers daily variety and the chance to make a meaningful difference.
The Role:
Support pupils during lessons and help reinforce learning
Work with pupils in small groups or 1:1 when needed
Assist teachers with classroom tasks, learning activities, and resource prep
Encourage positive behaviour, participation and independence
Help pupils stay focused and confident throughout the day
Contribute to a calm, inclusive and supportive school environment
Support pupils through transitions between activitiesIdeal Candidate:
Experience working with children (school, tutoring, childcare, coaching, youth work, mentoring)
Friendly, patient, and able to build good rapport with pupils
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Adaptable and confident supporting different year groups
Reliable, proactive and keen to learn
Psychology, education, or child development graduates welcomedContract Details:

Hours: Full‑time, term‑time
Pay: £14.66-£15.66 per hour
Contract: FlexibleExperience, Training & Safeguarding:
Experience with children desirable but not essential
