Our client is a well-established, privately-owned main contractor based in Warrington, operating across the North West. They specialise in delivering high-quality refurbishment, repair, and maintenance projects within the social housing and public sector. Your new role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team, responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of works. These include disrepair and reactive maintenance, planned kitchen and bathroom refurbishments, and external and groundwork schemes. This is a great opportunity to play a key part in supporting the commercial delivery of essential housing upgrades.
Responsibilities will include:
Managing the commercial performance of assigned projects from start to completion
Preparing and submitting valuations, cost forecasts, and final accounts
Overseeing subcontractor procurement, payments, and performance
Monitoring and controlling project budgets, costs, and variations
Liaising closely with operational teams, clients, and supply chain partners
Ensuring all works are commercially viable and contractually compliant
Supporting with financial reporting and analysis as required
What you will need to succeed:
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in housing or refurbishment projects
Strong understanding of disrepair, planned maintenance, and groundworks
Experience working with schedule of rates and standard forms of contract
Excellent cost management, negotiation, and reporting skills
Confident in liaising with site teams, clients, and external stakeholders
Full UK driving licence and the flexibility to attend sites across the North West
