The role
Our operations team plays a huge role in the success of our customers' experience, ensuring we deliver on our promise of never being out of stock. To help ensure we continue to deliver on this promise, we are looking for a new Materials Planning Executive to join our operations team! Here's an insight into your day to day:
* Work with other teams to understand how much of each raw material we need to create these products, ensuring they're always in supply.
* Create accurate plans and ensure optimal stock levels within targets, making sure we're able to produce the right quantities of our products.
* Organise and assist with the purchasing of all types of products, for all product ranges and also trials. Responsible for placing orders for stock replenishments to fulfil the production plan.
* Assist in organising scheduled transport and ensure these shipments go ahead.
* Develop great supplier relationships alongside Procurement to ensure timely and accurate deliveries and provide regular forecast updates.
* Ensure that the materials stock is fit for purpose and accurate in the system, considering the importance of shelf life for food materials.
* Maintain accurate and timely wastage reports, working with the rest of the Material Planning Team to forecast stock loss. Our target is to keep waste to a minimum.

What we're looking for in you
This role will suit someone with either a relevant degree in Supply Chain or a related field or around 1-2 years of experience in Production Planning or Materials Planning. You should be an excellent communicator, capable of building strong relationships as you manage our suppliers. Good people skills and negotiation abilities are essential. Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets is critical, as tracking raw material stock levels and their allocation is fundamental to our supply chain's effectiveness.
