Temporary Supply Chain Coordinator
Our prestigious manufacturing-based client, based in Norwich, are seeking a Temporary Supply Chain Compliance Coordinator to join their team.
This is a on a temporary basis for around 1 month working full time at the Norwich office.
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:
1. Previous experience in supply chain, procurement, supplier management, or compliance.
2. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise professionally with suppliers.
3. Excellent organisational and documentation skills with strong attention to detail.
4. Knowledge of trade compliance, CBP regulations, or material traceability requirements (desirable).
5. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
6. Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working under minimal supervision to deadlines.
Responsibilities
7. Engage directly with suppliers across the UK and internationally to request, collect, and validate material origin and smelt source data.
8. Review supplier documentation (e.g., certificates of origin, smelter declarations) for accuracy and completeness.
9. Maintain structured and accurate records of compliance documentation in company systems.
10. Highlight gaps, risks, or non-compliance and escalate to the Supply Chain Manager.
11. Prepare progress reports and summaries to update management on compliance status.
12. Collaborate with internal functions (Purchasing, Quality & Engineering) to ensure compliance activity is aligned and consistent.
13. Support the development of supplier assurance processes.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
14. Percentage of suppliers contacted within agreed timeframes.
15. Percentage of supplier compliance declarations received and verified.
16. Accuracy and completeness of compliance records maintained.
17. Timeliness of escalation and reporting to the Supply Chain Manager.
18. Contribution to overall CBP compliance readiness for the organisation.
About the Role:
The Supply Chain Compliance Coordinator (Temporary) will play a key role in ensuring that global supply chain remains compliant with recent regulatory changes implemented by U.S. Customs & Border Protection (CBP). The role is responsible for engaging with suppliers to establish and document smelt source and country of origin information for all aluminium, brass/copper, and steel used within our part portfolio.
This position will ensure our business maintains continuity of supply, regulatory compliance, and customer trust while supporting the wider supply chain team with traceability initiatives.
