Overview
Maintenance Technician position at Tesco across Sevenoaks. You’ll be part of a skilled team carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a range of systems and equipment to keep stores safe, functional and welcoming for customers and colleagues. Your work will directly impact the shopping experience, and you’ll use your technical expertise to identify and resolve issues, prioritising safety, compliance and quality. This is a hands-on role that requires a proactive mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high standards. Responsibilities
* Confidently interact with external contractors and coordinate repairs seamlessly.
* Work collaboratively with the team to deliver high-quality service.
* Sustain high energy levels, juggling tasks while maintaining efficiency.
* Assist the management team in keeping stores operating smoothly by maintaining equipment and facilities.
* Minimise customer disruption by coordinating repairs with minimal impact on customers.
Responsibilities will include:
* Ensure Tesco sites are safe and functioning for customers and colleagues.
* Follow the planned work schedule to achieve first-time fixes and improve efficiency.
* Work closely with team members, sharing best practices and knowledge.
* Conduct general day-to-day store and property maintenance.
* Use mobile devices to drive work completion and updates.
* Represent the Tesco brand by demonstrating core values and maintaining a positive attitude and Tesco uniform.
* Attend local and national meetings, providing input and feedback.
* Support a diverse and inclusive culture.
You will need
Demonstrate enthusiasm for maintaining high standards. Previous experience in a maintenance, engineering or construction environment is desirable. Be digitally confident using a tablet to view daily work schedules and manage emails.
Operational Skills
* ONC or equivalent
* Full driving licence
* Health & Safety awareness
* Communication & collaboration
* Office 365 knowledge
* Completed all relevant technical training upskilling modules
